Sailing the Seas of Change For a Better World. Supporting many diverse causes, from the environmental, social, political and economic worlds.
Oasis Armada envisages a world where all things on earth co-exist in harmony - where we as humans have sustainable relationships with our environment, and with each other. We are aligned with the permaculture principles of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share. Finally we see that we can act as a catalyst towards reaching this vision by practicing what we preach, and by sharing our experiences and skills in order to awaken, inspire and empower others.
Oasis Armada is sailing for a better world. We are supporting many diverse causes, from the environmental, social, political and economic realms. We set sail from the Baltic Sea in Scandinavia, out of the fjord where the village of Ytterjärna lies, and let mother nature guide us foreward. Along the way we will be visiting and working with many people, projects and places, sharing our skills and telling their stories.
Initially we were preparing for departure at our base in Ytterjärna, with a team of 6 sailors in the making. We had all been living and learning here together for the past 10 months at The International Youth Initiative Program (YIP). We'd recently finished our studies and were ready to get back out into the world, and onto it's oceans!
We believe that life is about the journey, rather than the destination. Therefore, while we have many ideas, resources and a large network of people and projects to visit, we are still joining the dots together, and will continue to do so along the way, hopefully with your help! If you are interested in joining or supporting the project now or in the future, please contact us, we'd love to hear from you!
